Artist Series -konserttisarjaa kuratoi Helsingissä asuva italialaisrumpali Alessando D’Anna. Nuoresta iästään huolimatta D’Anna on ehtinyt kiertää Eurooppaa sellaisten jazzmuusikoiden kanssa kuin David Kikoski, Benito Gonzalez, Mark Gross, Eve Cornelious, Benny Benack III, and many others.

This new episode of the Artist Series will introduce you Marcello Allulli, one of the best italian jazz saxophone player. Marcello won a prestigious grant from the Italian embassy in Finland to travel and perform in Helsinki and in other cities during the month of February. This trio has a solid background of collaborating together since two years ago, performing original compositions of Allulli from the recording “MAT” and “Hermanos” and few re-arranged standards from Ornette Coleman.

“The concept of this little series is to bring the original music and the way to interpret jazz standards of many great artists I had the chance to work with or meet all around Europe. This is a portrait of the European jazz right now.” (A.D.)
