Dear Jazz-lovers, we are very proud to present the seventh jazznight at the SUNN featuring the fabulous Jay Korthisto who comes to take you for a ride just before christmas.

Jay Kortehisto is attitude defined. He combines his vocal skills with an exceptional control of the trombone. His newly released record who carries his name, has stirred the Finnish jazz scene. He sings newly produced jazz songs with a charismatic and natural tone. The collaboration with saxophonist Petri “Pope” Puolitaival has led to a very interesting listening experience with gripping drama in the fitting lyrics in Finnish by Kanerva Pasanen.
Tonight’s bassist is Ville Herrala, one of Finland’s most coveted and versatile jazz musicians. His skills have been heard in the company of among others: Jukka Perko, Severi Pyysalo, Jukkis Uotila, Eero Koivistoinen, Otto Donner, Jarmo Savolainen, UMO and Karita Mattila. Moreover he has performed with numerous international stars like Jerry Bergonzi, Phil Markovitz, John Tchicai, and Cuong Vu.
On drums we have the one and only Thomas Rönnholm who keeps the time and spirit running throughout the autumn.
The pianist and club host John Grönvall – is very proud to present the seventh in the series of international top level jazz nights performed at restaurant Sunn. It also concludes the autumn season.
