PIYOJO (Groningen, The Netherlands)
Rik Möhlmann aka Piyojo is known for his engaging live sets, where physical movements and the audible clearly connect.
Combining experimental electronics, free jazz flute and
percussion-heavy rhythmic patterns, Piyojo is a master of
improvised electronic dance pieces that trigger both bodily
actions and head space.
This year Italian label Periodica Records released his vinyl
debut 12″ EP Live Recordings Restored by Zachte Man.
A cassette album entitled Auptoi came out this summer.

FYOELK (Antwerp, Belgium)
Balancing a line between raw sonic dance tracks and outer world electronics, Fyoelk explores a diverse range of musical languages.
Hailing inspiration from proto-house and the definition of a “track” to its core elements, his live sets emphasize the action of dub mixing and on-the-fly arrangement, utilizing MIDI synthesizers and sequencers. Fyoelk has been touring in vast parts of Europe and the US where he shared stages with a.o. Ata Kak, Container, Hype Williams, Terreke, Kate NV, Lightning Bolt, US Girls, Das Ding, Peaking Lights, Hiele…

The 12″ EP Klaus was released through Rush Hour’s No Label in 2015, various tapes and CDRs have been channeled through his own Stenze Quo imprint.
