KAIKU DUO

Sergio Castrillón _ Cello
Marc Vilanova _ Saxophones

Kaiku Duo is a travelling ensemble based on the free improvisation. The powerful connection between Sergio Castrillón and Marc Vilanova gives a fresh and hypnotic experience for the public.

The main focus of the project is the communication between musicians and audience using sound and body expression. The body language that the duo is developing creates a unique and very intense performance.

The duo is interested nowadays to bring the free improvisation in unconventional places. Out of auditoriums and theaters, the duo has been performed in some places outdoors with always interesting acoustics. The goal is to bring the free improvisation to everybody, to give the chance to discover new levels of communication for people who maybe never experience that before.
